Murphy`s Restaurant and Pub in New Paltz

About what you’d expect for an Irish Pub. Not as wide a selection of beers as we thought there’d be. Food was good with generous portions. Staff friendly and helpful.

Extremely slow service, seems to be a fading trend. Really unhappy with waitress service latey.

Things that were promised on their menu to get with the food were missing from the order.

The service was ok, I guess. The food was horrible. Never going back.

Always a good time drinking at Murphy's. Drinks are affordable and there's usually a special going on at night. I usually go for the night life don't know to much about the lunch or dinner menu, but this place usually is packed with college kids or Greek life. If you don't like crowds this isn't the place to be.

Very elegant and accessible place. They provide big meals and for reasonable prices. I liked the food a lot and the staff were super amiable and informative. Highly recommended.

Nice enough as a bar but terriable as a resurgent. The music was FAR too loud. Had to walk through a smoking section just to get in. Server wasn't great and the chicken sandwhich was gross. It tasted weird and I couldn't even eat half of it because it couldn't even be bitten into to.

Try their Bread bowl and soup!! It's great at a reasonable price 👌🏽

Great barista! Girl who attended my friends and I was friendly and attentive.

This a fun place. I only went there for my college fraternity reunion.

We order burger, fish and chips, and shrimp scampi. It took almost a hour and half to prepare. Shrimp scampi dies not taste like scampi and it was a little too sour too. Fish and chips, fish does not taste very fresh.

Recently enjoyed lunch at Murphy's. The pulled pork was perfectly cooked and the coleslaw fresh. The star of my meal was the Santa Fe egg rolls, clearly freshly made and not purchased frozen.

Good selection of draft beer and mixed drinks - any variety of Jameson's you want to try.Plenty of TVs in a sports friendly environment.

Best place to have a good time. Actually has good music and a diverse set of people come here.

Bartender was nice And their drinks are epic plus the sweet potato fries are tasty.

Amazing food, and absolutely outstanding service from Kenny. He served and bartended for us for the whole service and was a great conversationalist. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the best French Onion soup I've had in a while. Their protocols for Covid are great, and make sure you are served properly and safely.

Security at the main door was discriminating against us for our sexuality telling us we could not go inside.

Did appetizers and beer watching the NFL ticket. I think they need some specials on Sunday, but it was okay

didnt eat there. went there and asked for a crown with gingerale. they didnt have crown sk i asked for the closest thing to it. all in all, what they gave me tasted like cruddy vodka with a decarbonated seltzer water. i guess its the kinda place for people who probly arent even 21. where they can drink cruddy liquor and listen to music. all in all it was the biggest waste of 10$ in my life.

Friendly service, food was okay. Nothing wrong with it, nothing that really stood out. Definitely a college bar. Came here on a Sunday afternoon (place was empty), but judging from the look of the place, it must get pretty rowdy on the weekends. Prices were really good, too.

Standard pub food. Not to bad and a good place to stop by for a quick bite while catching the game or up on friends.

Tuesday nights are good. Sometimes security up front sucks. Mainly a young crowd.

The bathroom was hot and had one light, so the stall was complete and utter darkness. I had the turkey and avocado wrap, and it was deplorable, it was slimey, and it was just too thick for my taste. A gentleman sitting next to me and he complained that his beer was warm and his burger was too raw when he asked for it to be "burnt". I would not recommend this place to anybody. If every bar in the town is packed and you find this place completely empty there is a reason why. Go and wait for another bar, at least you'll get good service.
